What is an Air Handling Unit (AHU)?

The AHU (Air Handling Unit) is a heat exchange device commonly used in HVAC systems or industrial factories with high cleanroom requirements, such as in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and electronic component industries.

To meet the low humidity requirements of cleanrooms and production rooms (10-35%), INTECH has researched, manufactured, assembled, and produced AHU integrated with deep dehumidification.

Operating Principle of AHU integrated with deep dehumidification?

Air from the production room is processed through air ducts back to the AHU. First, the air passes through an F8 filter (or possibly G4 filter), after that, it is cooled down to perform primary moisture separation and is further chilled before entering the Roto dehumidifier. The air after passing through the Roto will be dehumidified, and the outgoing air will have very low humidity. It will then pass through the secondary cooling coil before being directed to the output of the AHU (Air Handling Unit) and introduced into the supply duct system for the production area.

When the rotor rotates, the section containing the moisture-absorbing particles saturated with water will be transferred to the regeneration section (drying section). At this point, the air will be heated using electric resistance bar blown onto the rotor wheel. This process will cause the moisture trapped within the desiccant material to be separated and carried away with the exhaust air. Finally, the desiccant will be dry and returned to perform the next moisture absorption process.

Material of INTECH AHU integrated with deep dehumidification frame

– The frame is made of insulated aluminum combined with PU Panel, ensuring rigidity, durability, and corrosion resistance during transportation and use.

The connecting angle is made of moulded plastic with thermal insulation.

– The sturdy AHU base is made of steel, electrostatic powder-coated, with designed holes for easy lifting and lowering.

– The standard panel is a type of double-layered casing, designed for easy disassembly and assembly, allowing for straightforward removal of panels without affecting the overall aesthetics of the AHU complex. The contact area between the panel and frame is sealed with a specialized gasket to ensure insulation and airtightness.
